[PD] [hid] segfaults

So I got my laptop running on a 2.6 Linux kernel last night and tried
to reproduce the segfaults that people have been having. I tried all
my devices and was not able to cause a segfault. (I have a Logitech
Wingman Force 3D joystick, a Saitek Cyborg 3D Force joystick, a
Microsoft IntelliMouse 5-button Optical mouse, a Logitech iFeel mouse,
a Belkin Nostromo n30 gaming mouse, and my PowerBook's trackpad.)

My devices also deliver a flood of 'syn' events, that part of the Linux
input event system as of 2.6 kernels. But it all seems fine. By the
way, in the new release, I removed the timestamp since Pd's float is
too small to fully represent it (its a really bit int) and I don't
think its very useful in this context anyway. Maybe that contributed
to the segfault? I am going to look thru the bug reports again and see
if I can think of anything.
