Could you do my a favor and send me the Pd console output when you plug
in and use both of these two devices? I am curious how they are setup.
Specifically, if you could do this:
[open DEVICE#( then [print( on both devices, [hid] will give a verbose
report.

This is an issue of setting up Xwindows so that it doesn't claim all
possible mouse devices. It has been discussed on the list, and I am
going to be putting up instructions on my website for this in the next
week or so. Its all in /etc/X11/XF86Config-4.

I think this should be possible on Mac OS X, but I haven't figured it
out yet.
