[PD] pd and OSCx

hi list

I've compiled the OSCx pd extensions and put the OSC.pd_linux file in 
the /usr/local/lib/pd/extra directory, but when I start pd I have to 
first create the object [OSC] if I want to create [sendOSC] or [dumpOSC] 
objects.  if I try to create [sendOSC] immediately after startup it 
gives me the "...couldn't create" error.  Is there a path I need to add 
somewhere?
