Main things I think are:

turning graphical features ("drawing instructions") on and off... this is
still changing slightly...

ranges (so that n screen units can be scaled to m data units, and so that
you can constrain values to ranges with quanta)

varying the fields you use as "x", "y", and "w" when graphing arrays
(makes it easier to graph arrays of data with several fields)
