[PD] graphic band filter (newbe)

Hi all,

I try to realize a graphical band filter in pd (something like those 
large pieces of iron with many red leds in stereo HIFI rack :)).

I thought to control this multi-band filter with an Array of 256 (or 
less) values, (everyone of which indicated the value in DB of one 
determined band).

Someone can address me towards some example in the documentation of pd, 
or can help me with some idea in order to begin in this work ?
