[PD] alsa midi crash

after some further investigation i now suspect that you are trying to 
open 24 midi-ports (which is 384 midi-channels); are you sure you need 
that much ??

apart from that, you have clearly discovered a bug;
pd only supports 16 MIDI-ports (still 256 midi-channels!), but i was not 
checking whether the user requested more...

anyhow, i'll commit a bug-fix to msp and i guess this will appear in the 
next test-release.
