For simple routings, multiplying the signal with 0-1 is a solution,
that is, simple crossfading, maybe using subpatches, which you
[switch~] on and off through inlets.

However for more complicated setups I can recommend the [matrix~]
object in iemmatrix rsp. the older zexy library versions. A kind of
one-dimensional matrix~ also is available in [multiplex~] and
[demultiplex~] from zexy.
