[PD] installation of pd on ubuntu

Had this problem with esd daemon as well when I did an upgrade from 
Warty to Hoary. After my fresh and clean installation of Hoary, the bug 
didn't show up again.

Mmmmmmhh... at the same time I remember having tweaked something: in the 
preferences menu of Gnome, System subsection, Sound conf. I disabled 
auto loading of sound server.......

Don't know exactly what it changed but sound works when logging in and I 
think that's what made the bug go away...
