you might try xeq_time, which should be part of the 0.1 library.

It is to be attached to a named player.  So, a xeq_parse needs
to have a second creation argument (like in "xeq_parse sq1 pl1"),
used as the xeq_time's first argument ("xeq_time pl1").

When banged, xeq_time should report the player's position,
right-to-left: next event number, next event time, previous event
time, current time.

Hope it works, have not used it since 2002...
