[PD] [hradio] vs. [hdl]

How do I set properties of an [hdl] gui object? When I use the
"Put -> hradio" menu, I get a horizontal radio object that I can
change the properties of, but it only outputs a single number.
When I use an [hdl] object, it outputs 2 lists of numbers, great
for routing and turning things on and off, but when I right-click
on it, the "Properties" option is greyed out. Are these supposed
to be 2 separate objects?
