You cannot set as an extra helpath a path with spaces. I tried:

-helppath C:/Documents and Settings/tom/My Documents/Pure 
Data/doc/5.reference

Once you set verbose mode, it stays in verbose mode even if it is not 
declared in the startup flags or in the registry.
Oohh. I finally got verbose do disengage by checking the checkbox in 
Path... then unchecking it!
