Ok, just let me suggest you next time to look for OSC libraries, that help very
much on "cross-plattforming" things or making your way to linux more
unnoticed... maybe you are used to php, by example.

and maybe if you colaborate with the dvelopment of linux free flash
developments, such as http://f4l.sourceforge.net/ (screenshot
http://sourceforge.net/project/screenshots.php?group_id=87799&ssid=9714 ) you'll
be able sooner to work in the language you like in a more free way
