miller is watching the stack pointer, devel is counting iterations in
devel...

so in miller's implementation it depends on what kind of objects you
use to produce the stack overflow (iirc, the stack is hardcoded to
1mb), in devel, only maximum depth can be reached (iirc hardcoded to
1000)
