[PD] flush object?

Hi everyone, I just came across a 'flush' and was
wondering if anyone knows what it does, is it the same
as flush in MAX? I don't know what library it's from
and I  can't find a help file? If it's not the same as
flush in MAX how can I achieve the same thing with
internal Pd objects? Cheers,
