[PD] determine local IP address

Sounds like I should finish my multicast DNS objects (aka Rendezvous  
aka Bonjour).  They would make it really easy to do service  
advertisement and discovery on local networks.  The grand plan to so  
have advertisement built into the [netserver] object.
