[PD] various pix objects

hi list,

a little while back i was having problems getting pix_kaleidoscope 
objects to be created. (winxp, pd is pd-extended 0.37 from the 
executable installer)

just reinstalled absolutely everything on my computer. same thing, 
except i only just realized it's the same for various other pix_objects, 
such as pix_motionblur, pix_levels etc. (is the common denominator that 
these are all freeframe ports?) all produce a "... couldn't create" message

does anyone have any suggestions? should i try a manual build of either 
pd, or gem? anybody know a working version for windows that has these 
objects
