[PD] Using Wacom Tablet with [hid] and absolute coordinates

Hi,

I managed to configure my Wacom USB Tablet (Pen Partner) to be
recognized by [hid] on Linux, however it only generates relative
coordinates like ([print]ed):

print: rel rel_x 1
print: rel rel_y -2

Is there a way to get at absolute coordinates? I have set 
        
        Option       "Mode" "Absolute"
        
in /etc/X11/XF86Config-4, but I guess, this is not used at all when
using direct device access using [hid].
