[PD] [GEM] pix_video not working on gentoo, gem 0.9

hi all,

i'm running gentoo with a nvidia. i compiled gem from cvs (0.90, July
13). pix_video is not working. only a white square appear in the window.
also, when i try 00.SimpleVideo.pd [mode NTSC] message, i get: invalid
arguments for messahe "mode [<norm>] [<channel>]"

then i've changed [mode NTSC 0], but still nothing.

also in the console:
GEM: pix_video: do video for this OS

???

hitting [driver 0], i get:
driverID (0) must not exceed 0


note that i can use /dev/video0 in pdp, effectv etc...
any idea???
