[PD] can't create tabosc~, tabread~ help file missing

it is called [tabosc4~] (or rather: there only is [tabosc4~])

yes it is missing.
try the helpfile for [tabread4~], the objects have an identical 
interface (but of course, [tabread4~] does interpolation which 
[tabread~] does not)
