well [sig~] sets the signal to the value, BUT only at the signalblock 
border (each 64 samples if you don't tune it with [block~])
[line~] can interpolate between values (but again you can only set them 
at the block borders)
[vline~] is like line but can also set values within the signalblock.

[unpack~] takes a list of (64) values and outputs them as a signal.

and most likely you will want to play with the up/downsampling feature 
of [block~]
