[PD] Tk issue...

hey crew
i'm trying to get pd up on my new gentoo laptop without any success. i have
tried almost all branches of pd and all have failed with the following error
when executing pd.


priority 8 scheduling enabled.
priority 6 scheduling enabled.
Application initialization failed: this isn't a Tk applicationunknown color
name "Black"

i have googled this and found nothing but languages i know very little
about....

any clues
