[PD] alsa / oss / jack

ok...no sound coming out of anywhere,  cd player won't play my disks or
anything....

aaargh, i knew moving to linux would be easy.


can someone recommend a good linux users forum or mailing list so i can get
this all sorted out?  (i have ubuntu)



btw...just for interest sake , my soundcard is a tascam 122, which does seem
pretty hard to configure with linux, but i think it's almost there cos i get
lights and terminal recoginises it.
