[PD] beginner: [pix_multiblob] + matrix with Pd-0.38.4-extended-RC8

Hi Pd list

I'm a beginner with Pd-0.38.4-extended-RC8 (was
running thanks to James Tittle and Yves Degoyon) on a
G4 laptop with OSX 4.5. 

I'm making an installation using a camera as a
tracking device.  i want to use [pix_multiblob]  but
Pd can't create it, saying: error: inlet: expected ''
but got 'gem_state'.

and with [pix_blobtracker]: 

mtx_*
... couldn't create
 mtx_*
... couldn't create
 mtx_*
... couldn't create
 pix_multiblob $1
... couldn't create

Pd shows the iemmatrix/matrix.pd patch ok apart from
[mtx_+] sourced from the reference files but says
this:

 mtx_*
... couldn't create
load_object: Symbol "mtx_+_setup" not found
load_object: Symbol "setup_mtx_0x2b" not found
 mtx_+
... couldn't create
error: test.mtx: can't open
error: matrix: failed to read test.mtx
... you might be able to track this down from the Find
menu.

Also Pd can't create [gem2pdp] - if that bears any
relationship?

I looked in the archives but couldn't find the light.
What should i do? Can you help?
