for apt-get try

sudo apt-cache search Imlib2-dev
or

sudo apt-cache search imlib2

etc....

then if you find the appropriate one

sudo apt-get install foo.*

Subject: [PD] more lib to install -- help

Hello everybody,

trying to run pd with pdp and pidip...
I've installed a few library one by one and so far it was ok.
I'm now completely stucked with imlib2 that is requested when
I launch pd -lib pidip

does anyone could guide me to install more efficiently all
those lib ?
I've tried to install apt-get but it seems I don't use it
properly.

thanks a lot.

I'm under Fedora Core 4. Here are the error message I have :

/usr/local/app/Pd-0.39.2-extended-test1-linux-i686/lib/pd/extra/pidip/pidip.pd_linux:
libImlib2.so.1: cannot open shared object file: No such file
or directory

Basically I don't understand the trick to install this lib.
Here is the Readme.txt that comes with imlib2...:
"php foo:

To use your new extension BUILT IN to php, you will have to
execute the following steps:

1. $ cd ..
2. $ vi ext/imlib/config.m4
2b. <you may need to run aclocal here>
3. $ ./buildconf
4. $ ./configure --with-imlib2
5. $ make
6. $ ./php -f ext/imlib/imlib.php
7. $ vi ext/imlib/imlib.c
8. $ make
"
What is this ??
help .)
