Thank you guys for these advices. It seems like pix_levels is all right
too. Is this as expansive on the CPU as pix_offset ? Anyways, I can't
use pix_offset because the values aren't clipped. I think pix_gain is
the way to go before this CVS goodie make its way to the pd-extended. :-)
