Patrick, list,

As I have mentioned a couple of times before on this list, there seem
to be problems with webcams using the pwc driver (includes most
Logitech cameras) with pdp. It appears that the problem is due to pdp
trying to use functions that were specific to the old closed source
Nemosoft pwc driver that has now been superseded by the
reverse-engineered driver by Luc Saillard (
http://www.saillard.org/linux/pwc/ ). My post [1] explains how to
remove the pwc specific parts of the pdp code so that it will treat a
webcam using the pwc driver like any other.
