I'm running out of ideas here - I tried the object on a couple of other Macs today, and I couldn't reproduce the crash. As a long shot, I have attached a patched version of jload.c, which checks that the libraries exist before trying to open them, however dlopen() should already handle such. You could try recompiling dssi~ with this in your src/ directory. You might also try removing PDP from your starup libs to see if that is causing problems.

Hi,
today I'll try the object on two different macs and let's see.
Just a question: on which system and pd version have you tried the object?

After I will recompile dssi~ as you suggested and let's see.

Thanks
