[PD] two different ways to search for files

Hello,

strange behavior (or a bug?):
on XP an external.dll located in a directory where the path contains a 
white space is not found when trying to create the corresponding object 
[external]. But if you save and reopen this as pd file, pd finds the 
external.dll in the same directory. Why does pd use two different ways 
to search for files while creating objects and while opening a pd file?
