[PD] Simple 3d landscapes in Gem

Does anyone know a way to do animated landscapes in Gem? See attached for the most crude and poorly implemented example.

What I would really like is a simple infinte landscape that features such as hills etc could be added to.

Can this be done with Gem? Does anyone have any suggestions?
