[PD] writing to the serial port with [comport]

I did get weird TX errors on one particular machine, and not since...

It was a fedora core2, on a asus p4c800 machine.. I never figured out why,
I may have sent a message to the pd-list about it way back...

What OS/machine you doing this on?
