hmm, how many templates do you eat for breakfast? i don't know your 
programming skills, but it shouldn't be that hard. (the only problem is, 
that at least on linux most decoding libraries only support a certain 
container format)

however, Gem tells you the framerate on loading the video via the 2nd 
outlet of [pix_film] (it gives you a list: number of frames, xsize, 
ysize, fps)
