[PD] accuracy of realtime

Hi,

I'm doing a patch which should allow the user to cronometer the sections  
of a piece of music through hearing + clicking. For that I'm using  
realtime, as it should be the most accurate chronometer for this kind of  
purpose. But it seems that it isn't accurate enough, and that there are  
always gaps beetween the measured and elapsed time (in both short and long  
time spans). Is there any other more appropriate choices for this, or am I  
stuck with this one?
