Yes. However, FSF.org recommends that it gets called Digital Restriction 
Management.

DRM is form of preinstalled rootkit built into the hardware. The point is 
that the media cartel has a monopoly on abusing artists and as such 
doesn't tolerate anyone else abusing artists.
