[PD] "Make" controller kit

have you seen this new controller board from makezine? they say it's 
based on free softwares and one can do anything (s)he wants with it, 
there's even an OS that comes with it for people who don't want to code 
everything. The feature list is pretty good. they even say it's kind of 
plug n play with pd and other apps.

I've never used any other board like this myself, do you think it's any 
good compared to "arduino" or "create usb interface"?
