i commited a fix for this in devel_0_38 or so, and put a patch up on the patch tracker for it. but it was part of a larger patch that wasnt accepted by miller, and got orphaned in the move to devel_0_39.

you can just ask tk for the screen dimensions and resize the window accordingly..
