Depends on the OS.  The flip4mac component for Quicktime on OSX should
work.  They won't play on the Windows version at all.  Linux might be
able to play some of them with ffmpeg.

WMV (and the MPEGs) is not really useful beyond datarate limited end
consumer delivery.  GEM does not fall into that category.
