you can generate a symbol with virtually any _ASCII_ character with 
[makefilename %c] (you have to know the ASCII-code of the character)

with a series of [set ...( messages to [makefilename] you could create 
your "weird" symbol. (a simpler way might be the use of zexy's 
[list2symbol] with a delimiter ",")
