[PD] Iterative text with Gem?

Can you explain how/why this memory leak exists?

Also, why do you need symbols to solve this particular problem? Originally
this person just wanted to display ones and zeros. [text3d] seems to take a
list of floats just fine. See my attached patch.

Finally, Alexandre's version of the patch mysteriously crashes PD entirely
for me (on WinXP). Not sure why...
