Hey all,
After hours of trying to get my damn capture card input into PD I
realized I am unable to get any sound input in PD...
I'm running the onboard audio of a a8v deluxe:
00:11.5 Multimedia audio controller: VIA Technologies, Inc.
VT8233/A/8235/8237 AC97 Audio Controller (rev 60)
I have alsa up and running using the via82xx driver.
I can play a CD in the cdrom drive and hear it, I can play a sound file
and hear it. I can hear the radio tuner card though it. I can blow in a
mic and hear that also. Doing all this just be altering the alsa mixer
settings. So the inputs are correct, and the card is working (since I
can hear the inputs).
As soon as I put pd/jack into the mix I can't get any input. just noise.
I can monitor the signal through the alsamixer, but that signal does not
go through adc~ using alsa, nor jack, nor oss. The output of PD is
working fine.
I'm using the PD debian package 0.39-2 for etch (testing).
I thought it was working in 0.38-4 but I can't be sure...
Any suggestions?
Maybe time to start saving up for a M-audio PCI card...
Thanks,
.b.
