[PD] pdp_qt~ error decoding audio

hi
opening a video with pdp_qt~ the video&sound playing nice but on the
shell i get a lot of "pdp_qt: error decoding audio"!
this is on ubuntu as well as on a recent debian installation.
any clues?

the audio settings are on 44100 with 50ms delay
