You can also use ascwave from the cxc library, which is compiled and
included in Pd-extended. If you are using Gem, text3d has a method to
convert numbers into ascii, [string 101 67 etc(. Note that this does
not work on any of the precompiled OSX versions of Gem that I have
used (0.90), but it does work on the Windows and Linux versions. (But
why?)
