no, there is no way to do so.

if it was possible, then it would also be possible to run ALL "things" 
(not just in Pd-world) independently of the platform.

there is more involved than not having a compiler for a specific 
platform (what if a "thing" uses DirectX, Aqua, or the /proc-filesystem)
