Thanks for all your kind replies!

I'm sorry i haven't been able to post a reply to this topic till now.
I't is due to a number of things, among others: change of ISP, mail
hosting problems and mail client trouble.

Luckily the list is accessible through the web based archive, so i
had a change to read all these nice replies "from remote". And
therefor also been able to get hold of PDF files, order the mentioned
books and looking at web-pages.

To cut it short, i farly quickly learned that i couldn't find a
'computer music and math' related topic, that i also could find an
local adviser for. Therefor i've ended up doing a project in the
domain of information theory topic, about the maxium entropy
principle. I guess it can have some relation to data compression...

In a future project, i hopfully have gained more knowledge in the
field, such that i can make math with a stronger relation to computer
music. I guess time will tell.

Thanks for your patients.

Best, Steffen
