but usually you don't need this to do: if you have only one operation 
you want to be executed by a remote application (and i expect gerda's 
problem to be like that), you are better off with using a simple 
shell-script without any hacks.

(of course it would be nice if you wouldn't need any hacks, but 
currently you do)
