[PD] plugin~ problems

hi list,

I'm trying to use the plugin~ external to use LADSPA effects but it behaves
weird on my FC5 + pd 0.39-2 computer.

as soon as I try to load an effect the GUI goes nuts and I can't see anymore
the objects names (nor numbers, comments, etc..), in the shell I see a lot
of errors like this one:

bad screen distance "159,000000"

and this one 

can't find an indexable and selectable item ".x9c83ef0.t9c85b08"

I've compiled plugin~ from source from the /external directory.

...what's wrong?
