There's [midifile] in cvs at externals/mrpeach/midifile. (or here : 
http://pure-data.iem.at/Members/martinrp/midifile)
I don't know if it compiles on OS X but it should.

You could take the outputs of [notein], [pack] them into a list along 
with some kind of time counter, and add them to a qlist.
