It doesn't help when doing live patching unless you save all of the time 
or you have auto-save (which is not implemented anywhere).

However, in DesireData, if it crashes, the client stays open, and is able 
to copy a patch to the clipboard, which can be pasted into any other 
instance of DesireData. (however copy+paste is not 100% implemented)
