[PD] problem with pdp2gem

If I try to use pdp2gem, pd crashes out immediately and gives the  
following error message (this is on OS X using Pd-0.38.4-extended-RC2):

dyld: NSLinkModule() error
dyld: Symbol not found: __ZN7GemBase11setModifiedEv
   Referenced from: /Applications/Pd-0.38.4-extended-RC2.app/Contents/ 
Resources/extra/pdp2gem.pd_darwin
   Expected in: flat namespace

pd_gui: pd process exited
Trace/BPT trap

Anyone know what I can do about this?
