[PD] set up edirol ua-25

When I check the UA-25(plugin) device, pd crashes with this message:

Pd: signal 6
pd_gui: pd process exited

OSS doesn't work either, here the error message is
error: OSS: SNDCTL_DSP_CHANNELS failed /dev/dsp

Jack reports something interesting:
Sorry. The audio interface "hw:0" doesn't support any of the hardware
sample formats that JACK's alsa-driver can use.

Any ideas?
