[PD] Mac OS X 10.3 troubleshooting needed

Hi Hans-Christoph,
don't know if this is relevant in your case, but the portaudio v19  
ringbuffer code (in portaudio SVN) is still somehow broken for OSX 10.3.
This can result in crashes at startup, but may be worked around by  
some preprocessor defines, which make the implementation more or less  
unusable for multi-CPU machines though.
